PRIVATE ACRO & AERIAL · SAN DIEGO
The Date She’ll Still Be Talking About Next Year
Ninety minutes on a private acrobatic rig, with a professional acrobat spotting every second of it. You will lift her over your head. She will trust you with her whole weight. Neither of you will stop talking about it — and no experience is required. That is the entire point.
WHY IT LANDS
Dinner Is a Conversation. This Is an Experience.
Every couple has eaten a nice meal across a small table. What almost no couple has done is put their body in the other person’s hands — literally, at height, with real trust on the line — and find out what happens next. Novelty and a little adrenaline do something to two nervous systems that a wine list simply cannot. You laugh. You fail. You catch each other. And the memory files itself somewhere much deeper than another Friday.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Fly — balanced above your partner’s feet, held steady by a spotter who does this for a living.
- Base — learn to hold another human safely, with technique instead of brute strength.
- Hand-to-hand and standing acro, at whatever level your bodies say yes to.
- Handstands — the lifelong skill, taught properly, often for the first time in your life.
- A turn in the harness on the rig, spotted, so you can leave the ground with zero experience.
What You Don’t Need
- Experience. Most people who come here have never done anything like this.
- Strength. Technique carries the weight — that’s the lesson.
- Flexibility. Nobody is doing splits. You will not be embarrassed.
- A partner. Come solo — I base, I spot, you fly.
- Special clothing. Fitted clothes, bare feet, water. That’s it.

HONEST, BEFORE YOU BOOK
What This Is — and What It Isn’t
This Is
- A guided, spotted experience on equipment almost nobody gets access to.
- Real acrobatic instruction: basing, flying, handstands, hand-to-hand — my actual craft.
- A taste of the aerial apparatus, harnessed and spotted, because it’s thrilling and you’ll never forget it.
- Completely private. No class, no audience, no wall of strangers.
This Isn’t
- An aerial certification course. I’m an acrobat and hand-balancer — not an aerial instructor — and I’ll never pretend otherwise.
- A workout you’ll be graded on. Nobody is watching but me, and I’m on your side.
- Dangerous freelancing. You go nowhere I haven’t put my hands on first.
- For a certain body type. Every size, every age, every fitness level has flown here.
The straps and the rings are genuinely hard — almost nobody does much on them on day one, and that’s fine. You’ll try. You’ll laugh. Then we’ll go do the thing your body actually can do, and it will be more impressive than you expect.

- Date night — the one they’ll still be telling people about a year later.
- Anniversaries & birthdays — an experience instead of another object.
- Proposals — yes, people have. The rig makes a spectacular backdrop.
- Bachelorette & small parties — private, photogenic, and nobody has to drink to enjoy it.
- Corporate & team offsites — trust exercises that are genuinely about trust.
- Photo & content shoots — the rig, the light, and a coach who knows the shapes.
- Couples already in coaching — the physical counterpart to the work we do in the office.
- Solo adventurers — come alone. You’ll fly anyway.

BEFORE YOU BOOK
The Questions Everyone Asks
Good — that’s most people who walk in here, and they’re usually the ones grinning hardest on the way out. Acrobatics is leverage and technique, not muscle, which is exactly why a person can hold another person overhead within ninety minutes of meeting me.
Everything happens on thick mats, under my hands, in progressions that only advance when your body says yes. On the aerial apparatus you’re harnessed and spotted directly. Thirty years of doing this — I’d rather you leave underwhelmed than injured, though nobody has ever left underwhelmed.
That’s normal, and it’s not a problem. The smaller partner usually flies and the larger one bases, but I’ll spot both of you in both roles — and watching the smaller partner hold the bigger one is often the highlight of the session.
Then we’ll stay low. Nothing on this page requires height — basing, hand-to-hand, and handstands all happen close to the ground. The rig is an option, not an obligation, and plenty of people skip it and leave thrilled.
Fitted athletic clothes — nothing loose enough to snag a toe or finger when you’re upside down. Bare feet. Leave rings, watches, and long necklaces and makeup at home. Bring water.
Yes, and you should — the shapes you’ll make here don’t occur anywhere else in your life. I’ll grab shots on your phone between rounds and I know the angles that make you look like you’ve been doing this for years. Bring a photographer if you want it done properly.
A private San Diego training space — the address comes with your booking confirmation. It’s yours for the session. No class, no strangers, no one watching.
Book online or text me. Life happens — give me twenty-four hours’ notice and we’ll simply move it. Otherwise $100 for same day.
Most people do and yes you should! After the first session we can build a real practice — handstands, hand-to-hand, standing acro — or you can just come back and fly again. Packages exist for people who catch the bug. Acro is very addictive.
Yes — text me and I’ll send a certificate you can hand someone. It survives the comparison to jewelry surprisingly well.
Couples Who Came for a Date
“My boyfriend and I took an acroyoga class from Tari for our anniversary and it was such a pleasant experience! His gentle, funny and kind demeanor made us feel comfortable and relaxed right from the start.”
“For my boyfriend’s birthday I surprised him with two 90-minute private sessions. As a couple, this practice has solidified our teamwork, communication, and ability to give and receive.”
“Tari is an awesome instructor. He has a patient and calm presence. My partner and I did an hour-and-a-half introductory AcroYoga class with him. We’re pumped to continue learning from him!”
