HANDSTANDS & HAND BALANCING · SAN DIEGO

Almost Anyone Can Build a Handstand. Here’s Yours.

Private handstand and hand-balancing coaching from one of the few people who can elegantly handstand on nearly any surface — and nearly anyone. Gymnastic lines, acrobatic hand-to-hand, canes, presses and one-arm work, taught through the Masters curriculum I trained daily for years at San Diego Circus Center under master Jean Luc Martin, plus private study with legendary coach Lu Yi. Every acrobatic road runs through the handstand. Let’s build yours properly.

Presses, one-arm progressions, canes and hand-to-hand — where the practice becomes an art.
Thirty Minutes Can Change Your Practice

The Handstand Tune-Up exists because most people don’t need more reps — they need better information. In one focused 30- 40 minute session I’ll find the two or three things actually holding your handstand back, give you the drills that address them, and send you home with a plan. Walk in wobbly, walk out with a map. Serious students continue with full sessions or the series.

GOOD TO KNOW

Yes — handstands are built, not bestowed. We start against the wall or with my spot, and progress at exactly the speed your strength and nervous system allow.

Straight answer: with consistent practice and correct information, most dedicated beginners reach consistent freestanding holds in months, not weeks. The Tune-Up shortens that road dramatically by killing the errors you’d otherwise practice for years.

A tiny amount of general fitness is enough — if you can get up off the floor and carry groceries, we can work. I’ve taught teenagers, retirees, and everyone between.

Off the mat, I also work as an intimacy coach. If that’s ever useful, you’ll find me at closeness.com.
